Job Summary
Join the German Pension Insurance Federation's joint data center as a System Administrator, focusing on SAN, Storage, and RedHat Linux. This role involves the installation, configuration, and operation of IT systems, including Broadcom SAN directors, Hitachi and Fujitsu storage systems, and RedHat Linux servers. You will be responsible for monitoring IT systems, performing error analysis and resolution, and contributing to the planning and documentation of IT operations. The position also includes participation in IT projects, automation efforts through scripting, and ensuring IT security measures comply with BSI standards. Required Skills
Education
University degree (Bachelor/Diploma/FH) in IT, or comparable IT qualification, or vocational training in IT
Experience
- Successfully completed university education (Bachelor/Diploma/FH) in IT, or a comparable IT qualification, or vocational training in IT with at least 3 years of additional professional experience, or comparable practical IT experience with at least 3 years of additional professional experience
- Initial professional experience in installing and configuring Linux server operating systems
- Ability to independently and systematically analyze and solve problems

Additional
- Willingness to participate in early and late shifts (6 AM - 6 PM) and on-call duties (via phone, SMS, messaging).
- Occasional business trips within Germany (approx. 3 times per year) are required.
- Willingness to work weekends and nights as part of on-call duties.
- Location preference: Würzburg or Berlin.
