Job Summary

The Administrative Director will lead the central administration of the "LÜBECK MUSEUMS" network, a prominent cultural institution overseeing ten facilities. This pivotal role involves comprehensive management of financial, human resources, and legal affairs, ensuring the smooth operation and strategic development of the museums. Key responsibilities include strategic HR planning for over 130 employees, overseeing budgeting and financial controlling, and spearheading fundraising efforts. The role also encompasses compliance management, facility management, and coordinating major construction projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in public administration, finance, or law, coupled with significant leadership experience in a large organization. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a major cultural transformation, including extensive digitalization and large-scale construction projects across the museum network, while working closely with the Lead Director and various political bodies.

Required Skills

Education

University degree (Diplom, Master, or Magister) in Socioeconomics, Economics, Cultural Management, Law, or Administrative Sciences

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in a leading position within a larger organizational unit
  • Experience in dealing with political committees
  • Professionalism in dealing with patrons and third-party funders
  • Experience in acquiring and managing funding

Languages
