Job Summary
This Senior Primary Design Engineer will be responsible for the end-to-end design and development of HVDC (High-Voltage Direct Current) and FACTS (Flexible AC Transmission Systems) layouts using advanced CAD tools. Day-to-day tasks involve leading primary engineering efforts in projects, including 3D model development, general arrangement drawings, electromechanical calculations, busbar and clamp design, and earthing & lightning protection. The role requires significant collaboration with various internal and external teams, from engineering and equipment manufacturers to commissioning and logistics, ensuring project adherence to timelines and budgets. This position is ideal for an experienced engineer who thrives in a leadership role within international turnkey projects, contributes to technical excellence, and is passionate about sustainable energy solutions.
Required Skills
Education
Master’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent technical qualification
Experience
- Extensive professional experience in international turnkey projects
- Experience in grounding for HVDC, FACTS, or substations
