Job Summary

This role involves operating, maintaining, programming, and administering building automation systems, IT networks, databases, and electronic locking systems. The specialist will analyze alarms and optimize operational processes, independently create data-driven reports for energy consumption, and prepare data for the Central Monitoring and Operations Station. The position also includes conducting repairs and assisting with ordering parts. This is a full-time, permanent position with the German Federal Armed Forces Service Center in Dresden, moving to Straßgräbchen/Bernsdorf in December 2025. It offers an attractive salary based on the public service collective agreement (TVöD), with potential for a recruitment bonus and opportunities for professional development and training.

Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as an Electrician for Industrial Systems, Electrician for Energy and Building Technology, or comparable qualification.

Experience

  • Professional experience in operating, maintaining, programming, and administering building automation, IT networks, databases, and electronic locking systems
  • Experience in evaluating alarms and optimizing operational processes
  • Experience in creating data-based reports and data preparation
  • Experience in conducting repairs and managing spare parts
  • Knowledge of specialized regulations and principles of building automation systems (heating, ventilation, air conditioning, sanitary, electrical, refrigeration, hazard alarm systems)
  • Cross-trade understanding in technical building equipment

Additional

  • Must possess a Class B driving license and be willing and medically able to obtain a Bundeswehr Class B driving license. Must be medically fit for physical tasks including climbing stairs, lifting, carrying, working in constrained postures, and working at heights. Must be able to perform duties in all weather conditions. Must adhere to the principles of the liberal democratic basic order as per the Basic Law. Must agree to participate in a medical examination. Willingness to participate in regular and advanced training is required. Position location changes to Straßgräbchen/Bernsdorf upon commissioning of the new Bundeswehr property.
