Job Summary
The Head of Administration will lead the administrative and facility management departments at the Samuel Heinicke Center, a specialized educational institution in Saxony for children and adolescents with hearing impairments. This role involves comprehensive responsibilities, including managing personnel matters, overseeing budget planning and execution for material resources, and coordinating building and outdoor area maintenance with state authorities. The successful candidate will also be responsible for procurement, internal organization, quality and process management, and preparing negotiation documents for agreements under SGB IX. Additionally, they will plan and organize IT specialist procedures and the administrative network in coordination with service providers. This is a full-time, permanent position offering a stable and impactful role within the public sector, contributing to a supportive educational environment.
Required Skills
Education
Degree in Public Administration (Bachelor or equivalent), Law, Business Administration, Social Administration, Tax/State Finance Administration, or Real Estate Management. Alternatively, a qualification as a Certified Administrative Business Economist (Verwaltungs-Betriebswirt), Certified Administrative Specialist (Verwaltungsfachwirt), or successful completion of Angestelltenprüfung II (Employee Examination II).
Experience
- Professional experience in public administration (advantageous for budget management)
- At least 2 years of professional experience in public administration (if combined with specific degrees)

- Must possess a Class B driving license and be willing to undertake business trips. Proof of measles vaccination or medical exemption is required as per the German Measles Protection Act (Masernschutzgesetz).
