Job Summary
This leadership role involves spearheading the IT, digitalization, strategy, and organizational development initiatives for the Evangelical-Lutheran Church of Hanover, a large ecclesiastical body with 2.2 million members. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing the overarching IT and digitalization strategy, managing a newly established department with 20 staff members across two divisions, and overseeing significant digital transformation and change management projects. Key responsibilities include strategic planning, budget oversight, fostering innovation within an interdisciplinary team, and collaborating with various internal and external stakeholders. This position offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of the church's digital landscape and administrative efficiency, reporting directly to the President.
Required Skills
Education
University degree, preferably with a relevant specialization
Experience
- Several years of experience in team leadership, ideally in digital transformation and organizational development
- Proven experience in leading teams and implementing change processes
- Experience in leading IT projects and applying agile methods
- Experience working with committees and interdisciplinary teams
