Job Summary

This Postdoctoral Researcher position, funded by the Horizon Europe 'ProPollSoil' project, focuses on understanding and managing soil health impacts on soil-dependent pollinators, such as ground-nesting bees. The role involves significant research, including planning and coordinating fieldwork across multiple European countries, specifically detailing pollinator sampling methods and frequency. The successful candidate will conduct sampling in Germany with student support, analyze data using statistical software, and be responsible for writing and presenting research findings at national and international conferences. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated individual with a strong background in animal ecology or conservation biology to contribute to a vital environmental research project within a large international network.

Required Skills

Education

Doctorate (PhD) in Animal Ecology, Conservation Biology, or a similar research area, with a focus on insects preferred. Completed university degree (Diplom, Master, or equivalent) in a relevant scientific field.
