Job Summary

As a Test Engineer at E.ON Drive's TestingLab in Essen, you'll be at the forefront of the energy and e-mobility transition, responsible for end-to-end testing, validation, and development of modern charging and energy systems. Your day-to-day will involve independently designing, planning, and executing test and development orders for both internal and external clients, from Wallbox prototypes to series production heat pumps. You'll analyze and document test results, derive optimization measures, and advise suppliers and customers on risk management and test result utilization. This role requires a background in electrical engineering, mechatronics, or IT, with at least two years of experience in a similar testing environment. You'll need strong analytical skills, a pragmatic approach, and a high degree of self-motivation to actively shape and scale the E.ON TestingLab's future. Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training or degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, IT, or comparable qualification. Certified Electrician (optional).

Experience

  • At least 2 years of professional experience as a Test Engineer in a comparable test or inspection facility
  • Experience with Wallbox prototypes and series production heat pumps (implied by tasks)
  • Experience in advising suppliers and customers
