Job Summary

As an IT Service Engineer for Web Technology, you will be instrumental in managing and optimizing the City of Nuremberg's internal web service applications. Your daily tasks will involve configuration and patch management, comprehensive monitoring, performance optimization, and providing second-level support. A key part of your role will be designing system architectures, developing operational concepts, and estimating costs for new web and online solutions. You'll actively lead and contribute to the design and implementation of common interfaces like REST, SOAP, and various middleware systems. Furthermore, you will be responsible for planning, procuring, and commissioning new web and online solutions, while also supporting diverse IT projects, particularly within the e-Government sector. Required Skills

Education

Bachelor's degree or Diploma (FH) in Computer Science or Business Informatics, or equivalent qualifications (e.g., IT Specialist) with comprehensive relevant skills and experience, or Civil Servant (3rd QE / Higher Service, Natural Sciences and Technology - focus Administration Informatics), or Civil Servant (3rd QE / Higher Service, Administration and Finance) with relevant experience, or Administrative Specialist (Fachprüfung II) with relevant experience.

Experience

  • Professional experience in IT or business informatics (for specific qualifications)
  • At least two years of relevant professional experience (for specific qualifications)
  • At least three years of relevant professional experience (for specific qualifications)
  • Project experience
  • Experience with agile project management approaches
