Job Summary

This role involves hands-on work with High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) control systems, focusing on testing, commissioning, and global deployment. The technician will perform integration and functional tests of HVDC control and protection hardware/software in a dedicated test center, including preparing and documenting Functional Performance Tests (FPT) and Dynamic Performance Tests (DPT), and supporting customer acceptance tests. A key aspect of the role is the worldwide commissioning of complex HVDC/HVAC systems, ensuring timely, technically sound, and economically efficient execution. The ideal candidate will have a background in electrical or energy engineering, experience with electrical power supply or plant commissioning, and strong knowledge of HVDC systems, including high voltage technology, control, regulation, protection, measurement, and communication systems. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge energy infrastructure projects globally, requiring a high degree of mobility and a willingness for international, long-term site assignments, potentially offshore.

Degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Technology, or comparable technical education/qualification (e.g., Certified Technician)
