Job Summary
The Berlin Senate Department for Urban Development, Building and Housing is seeking experienced Senior Construction Officers to lead and manage complex and challenging construction projects, including large-scale infrastructure programs like school new builds and renovations. This role involves comprehensive project leadership, acting as the client representative, and ensuring compliance with the Berlin Building Code under significant time and cost pressures. Ideal candidates will possess a strong background in architecture, civil engineering, or building services engineering, coupled with extensive experience in project management, public and private construction law, and financial controlling. Required Skills
Education
Scientific degree from a technical university or university in Architecture/Building Construction or Technical Building Services Engineering, or equivalent qualifications and experience. For civil servants: Fulfillment of civil service requirements for the 2nd entry-level position of career group 2 of the technical service, construction technical service branch; Grand State Examination.
Experience
- Professional experience in managing complex and challenging construction projects
- Relevant experience in cost and performance accounting
- Relevant experience in business administration and controlling

- Willingness and prerequisite to perform the function in the approval procedure according to § 77 Berlin Building Code. Readiness to consciously counter corruption through transparency and openness.
