Job Summary

The Christian-Albrechts-University in Kiel is seeking a Managing Director for its Interdisciplinary Master School of Marine Sciences (iMSMS). This role involves leading the strategic development and operational management of innovative, inter-faculty teaching programs focused on ocean, environment, and sustainability. The successful candidate will be responsible for conceptualizing and implementing new interdisciplinary and digital teaching formats, fostering internationalization and student mobility, and representing iMSMS in various university and external forums. Key responsibilities include coordinating with existing study programs, organizing career-oriented formats, and managing public relations. Required Skills

Education

Completed scientific university degree (Master or Diploma), preferably in marine, natural, or environmental sciences; Completed doctorate (PhD)

Experience

  • Professional experience in the conception, coordination, and management of complex educational projects or university didactic programs
  • Experience in inter- and transdisciplinary collaboration
  • Experience in cross-university project work
  • Familiarity with quality assurance and strategic development of academic educational offerings
