Job Summary

This role is for a Materials Testing Laboratory Technician who will be responsible for preparing samples of metals, plastics, and elastomers, and documenting their microstructures using microscopy. Key tasks include independently applying instructed testing procedures, microscopically documenting wear conditions, and performing technical cleanliness testing. The ideal candidate will have a background in materials testing, metallography, or chemistry/physics laboratory work, coupled with strong knowledge of physical and chemical testing methods for various materials. Proficiency with microscopes, knowledge of relevant cleanliness standards (e.g., VDA19.1, ISO 16232), and experience with technical cleanliness testing are essential. This position offers a permanent contract with a focus on precision, reliability, and an independent work style.
