Job Summary

This role is for a Virtualization Specialist with expertise in Microsoft Hyper-V, working within the Microsoft Infrastructure Services team of DRV-Bund IT, a service provider for the German Pension Insurance Federation. The specialist will be responsible for conceptualizing, coordinating, deploying, and optimizing physical and virtual IT systems using Microsoft Windows Server, Hyper-V, and potentially Azure. A key part of the role involves developing PowerShell scripts for automation, administration, and managing permissions within Microsoft System Center Virtual Machine Manager. The position also includes troubleshooting, implementing security configurations, and participating in or leading special projects, with a readiness for on-call duty. Required Skills

Education

Successfully completed university degree (Bachelor or Diploma FH) in IT or comparable qualification (e.g., IT-specific qualification) OR completed vocational training in IT or comparable several years of practical experience in IT.

Experience

  • Long-term relevant professional experience in IT, specifically with Microsoft Windows Server operating systems
  • Professional experience with Hyper-V virtualization platform
  • Professional experience with System Center Virtual Machine Manager
  • Professional experience in creating PowerShell scripts and automation
