Job Summary

This role is for a highly motivated doctoral researcher to join the Clinic for Neurology at UKM, focusing on the pathophysiology of Multiple Sclerosis (MS). The successful candidate will contribute to an interdisciplinary research project investigating the link between genetic components and inflammatory factors in MS progression. Day-to-day tasks will involve utilizing state-of-the-art technologies such as iPS cell generation, cell culture, complex functional assays, immunological assays, and molecular biology methods, including transcriptome analyses. The position offers an excellent scientific environment, strong interdisciplinary collaboration with the Institute of Neuropathology and the Clinic for Psychiatry, and access to superb facilities in the new Body and Brain Institute Münster, making it an attractive opportunity for a dedicated scientist.

Required Skills

Education

Master of Science (M. Sc.) or comparable degree in Biosciences

Experience

  • Professional experience in scientific research
  • Experience with primary human or murine cell cultures (T-cells, monocytes) is desirable
  • Experience with stem cells / iPS cells is desirable
  • Experience with immunological methods, including flow cytometry, is desirable
