Job Summary
This role involves the technical implementation and support of advanced video image transmission and multimedia technologies within the North Hesse Police Headquarters. The successful candidate will be responsible for the technical supervision of police multimedia applications, including BodyCam administration, IP-MESH technology, and BOS video links, as well as managing video surveillance systems in control and command centers. Key responsibilities also include troubleshooting hardware and software issues, system software installation and maintenance, and providing user support. Additionally, the position requires participation in projects, advising supervisors, and managing external service providers. This is a full-time, permanent position offering a unique opportunity to contribute to public safety through cutting-edge communication technology.
Required Skills
Education
University degree in Computer Science or comparable field, OR State-certified Technician in an IT-related field, OR Completed vocational training as an IT Systems Electronics Technician, Information Electronics Technician, IT Specialist for System Integration, or comparable professional qualification.
Experience
- Professional experience in video and media technology (if not holding a relevant degree/certification)
- Professional experience in the advertised field (for candidates with vocational training)

- Class B driving license required (Class C1E desirable); Willingness to participate in on-call duties and deployments outside regular working hours, including weekends and holidays; Willingness for continuous self-education and further training, especially in video and radio technology; Participation in specialized courses.
