Job Summary
The City of Bergkamen is seeking a dedicated professional to join its Finance and Tax department. This role primarily involves managing the financial operations of the 'BreitBand Bergkamen' (BBB) public utility, including preparing business plans, annual financial statements, and handling all accounting processes. A key responsibility will be establishing a comprehensive investment management system for the city and contributing to the overall consolidated financial statements. The position also requires expertise in tax law, particularly VAT, corporate, and capital gains tax, involving the review of contracts and preparation of tax declarations. Ideal candidates will possess strong analytical skills, a high affinity for digital financial applications, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team, ensuring sound financial practices and compliance for the city's operations and investments.
Required Skills
Education
University of Applied Sciences Degree in Finance (Diplom-Finanzwirt/in (FH)) or equivalent qualification for the first entry-level of career group 2 in financial administration.
Experience
- Professional experience in public administration, preferably in financial administration
- Experience in tax law, preferably VAT law
- Experience in preparing annual and/or consolidated financial statements
- Experience in preparing and analyzing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and business plans of public companies
- Experience in investment management
