Job Summary

This role is for a highly motivated Research Associate to join the Organic Chemistry group at Bergische Universität Wuppertal, focusing on a doctoral thesis. The successful candidate will be instrumental in developing novel systems for sustainable catalysis, specifically linking flow chemistry with solid-phase chemistry. Key responsibilities include designing and synthesizing organocatalysts and organometallic complexes, immobilizing amino acid conjugates, and optimizing catalytic reactions. The position also involves peptide synthesis, comprehensive analysis and characterization of compounds using various spectroscopic methods, and contributing to teaching Bachelor's and Master's programs. Required Skills

Education

Master's degree or equivalent in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Technologies, or comparable fields

Experience

  • Experience in organic synthesis
  • Experience in characterizing compounds using spectroscopy
  • Experience in asymmetric synthesis/catalysis (advantageous)
