The Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB) is seeking a Doctoral Researcher in Physics, specializing in Solid State Physics and Surface Physics, to join their Radiometry with Synchrotron Radiation department in Berlin-Adlershof. This role focuses on developing novel methods for the geometric characterization of nanostructured surfaces, crucial for the optics and semiconductor industries. The successful candidate will plan and conduct X-ray scattering experiments, optimize procedures using numerical modeling, machine learning, and statistical methods, and contribute to European third-party projects.
