Job Summary

This role involves managing environmental assessments and planning for various infrastructure projects, including roads, bridges, waterways, and independent cycle paths, within Berlin. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying assessment and approval needs, preparing tenders for planning and expert services (e.g., landscape conservation plans, EIA reports, noise assessments), and coordinating full contract execution, including amendments, invoicing, quality assurance, and schedule/cost tracking. The position requires close collaboration with approval authorities, environmental agencies, and other internal/external stakeholders, as well as engaging with the public. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to Berlin's climate-friendly urban transformation and ensure the city's infrastructure development aligns with environmental protection goals.

Required Skills

Education

Bachelor's or Diploma Engineer (FH) degree in Landscape/Environmental Planning, Landscape Management, or a comparable field from a university or technical college, or equivalent skills and experience.

Experience

  • At least 3 years of practical experience in landscape/environmental planning or related fields
  • Experience in environmental impact assessment, nature conservation, and immission control
  • Experience in planning and approval procedures for infrastructure projects
