Job Summary

The City of Frankfurt is seeking an IT Project Manager to lead and coordinate IT projects within the Youth and Social Welfare Office. This role is crucial for the city's digitalization efforts, connecting over 14,000 people with the latest technology. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing the full lifecycle of IT projects, from ideation to implementation, for new software and services. The successful candidate will also lead workgroups, prepare reports, perform project controlling, analyze the IT environment, and manage procurement processes for new IT programs and services. Key requirements include a background in IT or business/administrative sciences with an IT focus, strong project management skills, and experience in process organization. Eligibility for senior general administrative service OR relevant university degree (Bachelor) in Information Technology or Business Administration/Administrative Sciences with a focus on Informatics OR qualification as a Certified Administrative Specialist (Verwaltungsfachwirt:in) OR completed vocational training with a focus on Informatics (e.g., IT specialist) with several years of relevant professional experience
