Job Summary

This challenging role as Global Sales Manager involves reporting directly to the Global Sales Director within a leading technology company specializing in complex, global plant construction projects. You will be responsible for providing technical leadership, coaching, and implementing best practices for the matrixed Sales Force (Sales Engineers, Application Engineers). A core part of the job is actively shaping market strategies, coordinating technical and commercial sales and bidding processes, and managing key global accounts from pre-order through project handover. You will lead complex commercial and technical contract negotiations, develop competitive bids for large-scale projects, and act as a crucial knowledge resource for local sales teams. This position offers an exciting opportunity for interdisciplinary collaboration across R&D, Engineering, Procurement, and Finance in a dynamic, international environment, requiring fluency in both German and English.

Required Skills

Education

Completed technical higher education at University/FH level (e.g., Mechanical Engineering, Process or Chemical Engineering), ideally combined with further business administration qualifications (Sales, Project Management)

Experience

  • Several years of professional practice in comparable global functions as a Sales Manager
  • Experience gained within international structures in the project business of the technical industry (Plant Construction/Mechanical Engineering)
  • Specific experience from highly regulated industries (e.g., specialized plant construction, turbomachinery, energy plants, or power plant construction) is advantageous
