As a Senior Cloud Software Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in guiding projects from initial concept to successful go-live, focusing on designing flexible cloud architectures within an agile framework. Your responsibilities include ensuring adherence to clean code and software crafting standards, alongside driving continuous improvement of infrastructure. This position involves developing innovative solutions, implementing proofs of concept, and establishing best practices for testability, maintainability, and scalability. You'll also contribute to knowledge transfer by mentoring development teams and actively participating in industry conferences and meet-ups, fostering an open team culture. The role demands strong technical expertise in cloud environments and a commitment to continuous learning and community engagement.
Required Skills
Education
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, or Austrian HTL degree, ideally IT-focused (e.g., (business) informatics, mathematics, or physics), or equivalent education/training/experience
Experience
- Professional experience in programming and software development in cloud environments
- Professional experience in implementing microservices
- Professional experience with cloud infrastructure (e.g., Terraform) and security concepts in cloud-based applications
- Professional experience with containerization (e.g., Docker or Kubernetes)
- Hands-on experience in continuous integration and deployment
- Practical knowledge of interface development and database technologies
