Job Summary
This role is for a proactive and detail-oriented (Senior) Accountant in Munich, responsible for managing the full spectrum of accounting operations within an international law firm. The successful candidate will prepare monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB, handle various tax declarations including VAT, payroll tax, income tax, and corporate tax, and collaborate with tax advisors. A key aspect of the role involves leading projects to optimize accounting processes and implement new accounting standards, alongside building and maintaining internal control systems to mitigate financial risks. This position is ideal for someone with strong HGB expertise and a collaborative spirit, eager to contribute to a dynamic and forward-thinking team.
Required Skills
Education
Successfully completed training as a Tax Clerk and currently undergoing or completed further training as a Certified Accountant/Tax Specialist, or a business degree with a focus on Accounting.
Experience
- Professional experience in accounting, especially within a partnership company
- Experience in preparing annual financial statements according to HGB
- Experience with provisions and accruals
- Experience in preparing tax declarations
- Knowledge of preparing international financial statements (advantageous)
