Job Summary
The municipality of Walluf is seeking a part-time Climate Adaptation Management Officer to join their team, initially for a 3-year fixed term. This role involves coordinating the implementation of prioritized measures from the integrated climate adaptation concept, focusing on addressing the impacts of climate change such as drought, heat, and heavy rainfall in the "Upper Rheingau+" region. The successful candidate will work closely with the Climate Adaptation Manager in Eltville, engaging in network activities, coordinating stakeholders, and planning public relations campaigns and events. Required Skills
Education
Successfully completed apprenticeship in a recognized profession with at least three years of training (e.g., Administrative Assistant) OR ongoing studies in Landscape Planning, Geography, Environmental Sciences, Urban Planning, or another suitable field.
Experience
- Professional experience in a recognized apprenticeship with at least three years of training (e.g., Administrative Assistant) and relevant work experience
- Initial experience with municipal administrations
- Experience in project management
- Knowledge of natural, planning, and environmental law
- Willingness and interest to delve into topics related to climate change impacts and adaptation measures

- The position is initially limited to 3 years and is subject to the approval of federal funding. Part-time (19.5 hours/week). The position is generally divisible.
