Job Summary

The Hessian State Criminal Police Office (HLKA) is seeking a Certified Technical Assistant to join their Forensic Science and Technology Institute in Wiesbaden. In this full-time, permanent position, you will play a crucial role in forensic biology, specifically focusing on DNA analysis for serious crimes. Your daily tasks will involve the microscopic and macroscopic examination of biological traces, manual and semi-automated DNA extractions, quantitative DNA determination using Real-Time PCR, and the analysis of individual-specific DNA characteristics for genetic fingerprinting. You will operate computer-aided DNA analysis devices and perform IT-supported evaluation of DNA findings. Additionally, you will handle administrative tasks for laboratory organization, including initiating material procurements. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to critical criminal investigations within a supportive team environment.
