Job Summary

Join the Competence Center for Environmental Informatics at LUBW in Karlsruhe as an IT Specialist with a focus on network infrastructure. This role involves managing and overseeing communication relationships within the state administration network, federal network, and internet via the central state access point. You will be instrumental in planning and implementing LUBW's IT infrastructure, specifically WAN/LAN/WLAN and firewall systems, and coordinating with external service providers. The position requires strong foundational knowledge in networks and firewalls, with an ideal candidate also possessing experience in server infrastructure and storage systems. Required Skills

Education

University degree (Bachelor, FH-Diplom) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Network Technology; or a technically oriented university degree/training with IT affinity.

Experience

  • Experience in operating extensive IT infrastructure (desirable)
  • Experience and knowledge in project work (advantageous)
