Job Summary
The Kreis Höxter is seeking a dedicated Internal Auditor to join their "Audit and Municipal Supervision" department. This full-time, permanent position involves developing and implementing audit strategies, conducting annual financial statement audits for the district, and continuously reviewing payment processing and financial accounting. The role also includes performing ad-hoc audits, reviewing procurement processes, and assessing the effectiveness and efficiency of internal control systems. A key aspect of this role is also training junior staff, making it an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical and communication skills to contribute to public administration and foster new talent. Required Skills
Education
Qualification for the first entry-level position of career group 2 of the general administrative service (formerly higher non-technical administrative service) OR second examination for employees in municipal administrative service OR completed degree in "Auditing"
Experience
- Professional experience in internal auditing or related financial oversight
- Experience in developing and implementing audit strategies
- Experience in reviewing financial statements and payment processing
- Experience in advising on and reviewing procurement procedures
- Experience in assessing the effectiveness and efficiency of administrative processes
- Experience in training and mentoring junior staff
