Join the unique VEGAS research facility at the University of Stuttgart as a Chemical Technical Assistant, focusing on groundwater and contaminated site remediation. In this full-time, permanent position, you will be integral to laboratory organization and measurement operations, performing sample preparation and analytical determinations using advanced instruments like HPLC-HRMS, GC-MS, and ICP-OES. You'll also conduct physico-chemical parameter measurements, document results, and contribute to method development and quality assurance. This role offers the chance to work in an interdisciplinary team on cutting-edge research, maintain state-of-the-art analytical equipment, and handle chemicals responsibly. Education

Completed training as a Chemical Technical Assistant (CTA) / Chemical Laboratory Technician or comparable qualification

Experience

  • Professional experience in instrumental analytical techniques, especially HPLC, GC-FID/ECD, GC-MS, Ion Chromatography, ICP, and photometric methods in environmental analysis
  • Experience with high-resolution mass spectrometry or Combustion Ion Chromatography (CIC) is an advantage
  • Professional experience with MS-Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and routine in data evaluation
  • Willingness for practical work in laboratory and technical scale, including occasional lifting of heavier components (e.g., sample containers, reactor components, pumps) and working under laboratory conditions (e.g., with protective clothing or respiratory protection)
