Job Summary
This role involves integrating a novel gas sensor into a commercial drone platform for environmental monitoring. The specialist will be responsible for interface programming using manufacturer's SDKs/APIs, conducting tests, calibration, and validation of the sensor integration, and collaborating with hardware and software developers. A key focus is the processing and spatial visualization of measurement data using geodata libraries, with the goal of optimizing gas distribution mapping while ensuring flight stability and safety. This position offers an opportunity to work on an innovative, externally funded project addressing global environmental challenges, with flexible working hours and the possibility to acquire a drone pilot's license.
Required Skills
Education
University degree in Geoinformatics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable field
Experience
- Professional experience in programming control systems (advantageous)
- Basic knowledge of drone systems and flight control (advantageous)
- Experience in geodata processing (advantageous)
