Job Summary
This role involves leading the fight against clan and organized crime within the Berlin Senate Department for Interior and Sport, with a specific focus on exit strategies for individuals involved. The successful candidate will act as the primary contact and coordinator for new inter-agency working groups, fostering collaboration with security authorities, scientific institutions, and non-profit organizations. Key responsibilities include independently organizing and moderating meetings, developing recommendations and statements for senior management, and handling inquiries from parliamentary, media, and public sources. The position demands expertise in crime policy, project management, and a deep understanding of criminal phenomena, both nationally and internationally. Required Skills
Education
Completed scientific university degree (Diplom Universität, Master, Staatsprüfung or comparable) in Political Science, Criminology, or a comparable field relevant to the task.
Experience
- Experience in managing and overseeing research projects, including those with third-party funding and EU relevance
- Knowledge in processing, implementing, and controlling projects
- Knowledge in dealing with actors from administration and/or associations or civil society actors
- Knowledge in the phenomenon of clan and organized crime, nationally and internationally
- Knowledge in the causes and development of violence and crime
