Job Summary

The Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) is seeking a Head of Digital Communication to lead its 'Digital Communication' unit in Berlin. This pivotal role involves overseeing all aspects of the BMZ's digital strategy and communication, ensuring the effective dissemination of development policy positions and the Ministry's activities to the public and international audiences. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing social media, website content, and collaborating on digital campaigns, while also leading a highly motivated team. Required Skills

Education

Completed university degree (Master's, University Diploma, Magister, or equivalent) with at least a good grade, preferably in Political Science.

Experience

  • At least 10 years of relevant professional experience in political communication and campaigns outside of public administration
  • Experience in the conception, steering, and implementation of political, digital communication strategies and integrated campaigns
  • Experience in a communication agency or in communication consulting
  • Experience in developing communication decisions incorporating current research findings
  • At least 6 years of experience as a leader
  • Professional experience in development policy communication
