Job Summary
The City of Bernburg (Saale) is seeking a Civil Engineering Technician to join its Civil Engineering Department on a temporary basis, covering for a sick leave. This role is crucial for the maintenance, repair, and renewal of municipal roads, including bridges and other civil engineering structures. The successful candidate will be responsible for project management and oversight of road maintenance, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets, and coordinating with external contractors and utility providers. Key responsibilities include creating annual work plans, supervising third-party excavations, conducting road inspections for traffic safety, and managing public inquiries. This position requires a state-certified technician in civil engineering or a road maintenance worker, with strong knowledge of relevant legal norms like the Road Act of Saxony-Anhalt and VOB. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills, along with a Class B driving license. State-certified Technician in Civil Engineering (specializing in Road Construction or Civil Engineering) OR Certified Road Maintenance Worker
Experience
- Professional experience with legal norms such as the Road Act of Saxony-Anhalt (StrG LSA)
- Professional experience with Procurement and Contract Procedures for Construction Services (VOB)
- Experience with accounting framework plans of Saxony-Anhalt (helpful)
