Job Summary

Join the City of Cologne's Urban Planning Office as a Certified Technician to shape the city's future spatial development. In this role, you will be instrumental in managing and digitally providing the Land Use Plan (FNP) framework, transitioning it to the XPlanung standard, and ensuring its continuous technical advancement. Your day-to-day will involve digital, graphic, and drawing implementations, maintaining FNP changes, and leading XPlanung quality management, specifically for the FNP. This position requires a background in surveying or geomatics, strong digital proficiency with GIS tools like ArcGIS and QGIS, and an understanding of XML/GML and object-oriented data models. Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as a Surveying Technician or Geomatics Specialist, with additional certification as a State-Certified Surveying Technician.

  • Basic knowledge of object-oriented data models
  • Experience with XPlanung-supported programs (desirable)
  • Basic knowledge of databases (desirable)
  • Experience with building plans (development plans and/or land use plans) and interest in urban planning (desirable)
