Job Summary

This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead and expand the Nature Conservation Department within the Starnberg District Office, a key pillar of environmental protection. The successful candidate will actively shape the development and growth of this crucial department, overseeing a dedicated team of ten professionals. Day-to-day responsibilities include comprehensive leadership and management tasks, such as conducting employee reviews, overseeing new employee onboarding, fostering inter-departmental collaboration (e.g., for digitalization initiatives), participating in leadership meetings, and monitoring legal and technical developments in nature conservation. The position also involves managing complex legal procedures, particularly related to ordinances and property-specific administration, as well as overseeing recreational areas within the district, including contract management and coordinating investment and maintenance projects. Ideal candidates will possess broad expertise in nature conservation, strong decision-making skills, and proven leadership abilities, coupled with a pragmatic, hands-on approach and excellent communication skills.

Education

Civil Servant (3rd Qualification Level) in Administration and Finance OR Administrative Specialist (Verwaltungsfachwirt) OR successfully completed Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.)

Experience

  • Professional experience in nature conservation
  • Leadership experience (ideally demonstrated)
