Job Summary
This PhD position in Biology focuses on a research project within Gastroenterology & Hepatology, specifically investigating T-cells and liver immunology. The successful candidate will be involved in isolating and cryopreserving patient samples, performing cell culture, and characterizing virus-specific CD8+ T cells using flow cytometry. A key part of the role involves analyzing flow cytometric data with FlowJo and R software, correlating experimental data with clinical patient information, and evaluating scRNAseq datasets. This role offers the opportunity to conduct a PhD in an interdisciplinary and innovative research environment with structured supervision, contributing to cutting-edge research in liver immunology.
Required Skills
Education
University degree (good or very good) in Biology or Molecular Medicine
Experience
- Experience in laboratory work (ideally according to Genetic Engineering S1/Biological Agents Ordinance S3)
- Experience with flow cytometry (ideal)
- High motivation to learn biostatistical analysis, possibly with prior experience
Languages
Additional
- Temporary contract for 3 years within a third-party funded project.
