Job Summary
The IT-Verbund Stormarn, a full-service IT provider for the Stormarn district in Germany, is seeking a Head of IT to lead four teams comprising 45 employees. This strategic and operational role involves driving the overall IT strategy, managing complex IT projects, overseeing IT investments, and ensuring the stable and secure operation of all hardware and software systems. The successful candidate will also be responsible for the professional and strategic development of the IT team, fostering a positive team spirit, and managing stakeholder relationships to ensure efficient IT services and high user satisfaction. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced IT leader to contribute to digital transformation within a public administration context.
Required Skills
Education
University degree (Diplom or Master's) in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Mathematics, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Sciences, or a comparable field
Experience
- Extensive proven experience in leading and managing complex IT projects
- Comprehensive knowledge of IT service management
- Relevant leadership experience, preferably in public administration or a comparable organization
- In-depth knowledge of municipal administrative apparatus and understanding of administration-specific processes and structures

- Work location in Reinfeld (Holstein), Germany. Full-time position, part-time possible if the position can be fully staffed. Participation in an assessment center for selection.
