Job Summary

This role is for a dedicated Bat Specialist passionate about nature and environmental protection, particularly within the context of large-scale construction projects like wind power, solar, and infrastructure development. The primary responsibility involves conducting independent bat surveys and mapping in the field, primarily at night, from April to November. This includes using mobile detectors, identifying species by sound, conducting detailed species identification during net capture, and performing radio telemetry. During the off-season (November to March), the work shifts to data analysis, interpretation, report writing, and GIS data entry from a home office. The position requires extensive travel throughout Germany, with accommodation and travel costs covered.
