Job Summary

The Helmholtz Centre for Infection Research (HZI) is seeking a Research Scientist for its Core Facility for Translational Proteomics (CFTP). In this role, you will be responsible for conducting translational protein and proteome research projects using Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS) for internal and external scientists. Key tasks include developing proteomic strategies for preparing and analyzing primary samples from infection research, focusing on complex post-translational modifications like glycosylations. You will also contribute to method development in translational proteomics and proteoform analyses, and prepare research reports for publication. The ideal candidate will have a PhD in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or Biotechnology, extensive experience in proteomics (LC-MS), and strong knowledge of post-translational protein modifications and infection research. This position offers an attractive and diverse role in a future-oriented research institute with state-of-the-art infrastructure and an international environment.
