Job Summary
This role is for an IT Service Engineer specializing in web technology within the City of Nuremberg's IT Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for the configuration and patch management of internal web service applications, including monitoring, performance optimization, and second-level support. A key part of the job involves designing system architectures, operational concepts, and cost estimations for web and online solutions, as well as actively participating in the design and implementation of common interfaces like REST, SOAP, Webservices, and middleware systems. The position also entails planning, procurement, and commissioning of new web/online solutions, with a significant focus on contributing to and supporting various IT projects, particularly in the e-Government sector. Required Skills
Education
Bachelor's degree or Diploma (FH) in Computer Science or Business Informatics; or other qualifications (e.g., IT Specialist) with comprehensive relevant skills and experience; or Civil Servant (3rd QE / Higher Service) in Natural Sciences and Technology - focus on Administrative Informatics; or Civil Servant (3rd QE / Higher Service) in Administration and Finance; or Certified Administrative Specialist (Fachprüfung II)
Experience
- Professional experience in IT, specifically with web technologies, required if not holding a relevant degree
- At least one year of relevant professional experience if holding other qualifications (e.g., IT specialist)
- At least three years of relevant professional experience if holding a Public Administration degree (Fachlaufbahn Verwaltung und Finanzen) or as a Certified Administrative Specialist (Verwaltungsfachwirt/in)
