Job Summary
The Police Headquarters of Middle Franconia is seeking a Development Engineer for its Technical Operations Command, a specialized unit providing technical support to special and mobile task forces in combating serious violent crime. This role involves the independent development and enhancement of technical operational equipment, including planning, realization, and testing of systems. The successful candidate will also manage and coordinate development projects, monitor trends in electronics and electrical engineering, and collaborate with various agencies and companies on new technologies. Education
Bachelor's or Diploma (FH) degree in Electrical Engineering or a comparable technical field.
Experience
- Several years of relevant professional experience
- At least three years of full-time professional experience after completing studies (for civil servant conversion)
- One year of professional experience in public service (for civil servant conversion)

- Must hold a Class B driver's license. Willingness to work outside regular hours, including night/shift duty or on-call for deployments. Must establish residence within one hour's travel time of the duty station in case of alarm. Must meet civil servant requirements, including German or EU citizenship (exceptions possible) and health suitability. Must not have reached 45 years of age at the time of conversion to civil servant status. Must uphold the free democratic basic order of the German Basic Law. Must have an impeccable criminal record and sound financial standing.
