Electrical Engineer (Research Associate) | Elektroingenieur (m/w/d)
Technische Universität Dresden
Job Summary
This role is for a Research Associate in Electrical Engineering at the Technical University of Dresden, a leading research institution in Germany. The primary focus will be on the comprehensive analysis of high-power electrical connectors used in fast-charging systems. Day-to-day tasks involve designing, setting up, and conducting experiments to study the electrical, thermal, and tribological behavior of these connectors, as well as investigating their long-term contact performance. The role also requires developing and verifying electrical-thermal models of connectors and conducting studies on current carrying capacity and heating. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background in electrical engineering, expertise in finite element method software, and a structured, independent, and team-oriented approach to research. This position offers an excellent opportunity for scientific qualification, typically leading to a doctorate, within a supportive and dynamic research environment.
