Electrical Engineer (Research Associate) | Elektroingenieur (m/w/d)
Technische Universität Dresden
Job Summary
This role is for a Research Associate in Electrical Engineering at the Technical University of Dresden, a leading German research institution. The successful candidate will focus on high-voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission systems, specifically investigating discharge behavior in atmospheric air under non-standard impulse voltage forms. Day-to-day tasks include conducting literature reviews, designing and setting up experiments to generate non-standard impulse voltage forms, performing experimental investigations on discharge initiation and propagation, and developing a multiphysical computational model to verify experimental results. This position offers an excellent opportunity for scientific qualification, typically leading to a doctorate, within a supportive and dynamic team environment.
