Job Summary

Join Bayer's Drug Discovery Sciences team in Wuppertal as a creative and highly motivated Research Scientist focusing on DNA-Encoded Library (DEL) screening. In this role, you will lead and coordinate DEL experiments to identify novel hit and lead molecules for drug discovery campaigns, leveraging cutting-edge synthetic modalities and high-throughput biology technologies. You will be responsible for designing, optimizing, and executing DEL-based experiments, interpreting data in collaboration with internal and external partners, and contributing to an innovative research portfolio. This position offers the opportunity to scout new technologies, engage in global scientific communities, and continuously push the boundaries of high-throughput biology within a dynamic, agile, and collaborative environment dedicated to discovering and developing new therapies.

Required Skills

Education

PhD in a scientific field (e.g., Chemistry, Biochemistry)

Experience

  • Practical experience in various phases of the drug discovery process
  • Expertise and experience in designing and conducting DNA-encoded Library Screening campaigns, including subsequent data analysis and other high-throughput biology applications
  • Proven track record in interdisciplinary project work (as a member and in a lead role)
