Job Summary
The municipality of Gröbenzell, located near Munich, is seeking a Head of Environmental Affairs to lead a four-person department. This role involves overseeing the enforcement of local tree protection ordinances and other nature conservation laws, as well as contributing to urban development plans and concepts related to environmental, climate, and nature protection, and mobility. Key responsibilities include planning and maintaining municipal green spaces and playgrounds, managing water bodies, flood and noise protection, air pollution control, energy conservation, climate protection, and promoting cycling. The successful candidate will also conceptualize and support municipal funding programs and awards for environmental and climate protection, prepare for and participate in committee meetings, and advise citizens on environmental, nature, tree protection, climate change, and mobility transition issues. University degree (Dipl.-Ingenieur or Master) in Environmental Protection, Landscape Planning, Geography, or comparable qualification
Experience

- Experience with statutory law and water law
