Job Summary
This role involves ensuring the proper electrical operation of water supply systems, including telecommunications networks, remote control technology, measurement technology, process control systems, network technology, and electrical systems up to 20 kV. Key responsibilities include managing procurement for the electrical department, standardizing materials and processes, and establishing work preparation for routine maintenance and inspections. The specialist will also plan and execute small to medium-sized electrical projects, supervise construction sites, manage vehicles and equipment for the electrical team, and oversee external contractors. Required Skills
Education
Industrial Master or Technician in Electrical Engineering (recognized for entry in the Crafts Register) or comparable; alternatively, certified journeyman electrician with relevant experience. Proof of competence for grid connections ("TREI-Schein"/"Sicherheitsschein") with at least sufficient examination result OR willingness to acquire it during probation period. Instructor qualification OR willingness to acquire it.
Experience
- Professional experience in the electrical trade (for journeymen, 6 years of professional experience, including 4 years in a leadership position)
- Experience with personnel leadership (desirable)
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Schleupen) (ideally)
Languages
Additional
- Driving License Class B (Class BE desirable). Health and physical suitability for object/structure inspections in confined spaces and shafts. Willingness to take on on-call duties for fault resolution after training period. Requirements for registration in the electrical installer directory as a responsible electrician according to DIN VDE 1000-10 in auxiliary operations (§ 3 Abs. 3 Handwerksordnung HwO).
