Job Summary
The research group 'Assimilate Allocation and NMR' is seeking a Biological-Technical Assistant for an international, DFG-funded project. This role involves collaborating with UK and US partners to characterize growing plants and their interaction with the microbiome. The successful candidate will be responsible for the in vitro cultivation of plants, meticulous growth documentation, and the preparation of samples and nutrient media. This position is ideal for someone with a background in biological-technical assistance or a related field, possessing practical experience in in vitro plant propagation and general laboratory organization. It offers an opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research in a supportive and collaborative environment, working on a part-time, fixed-term basis until August 2028.
Required Skills
Education
Completed training as a Biological-Technical Assistant, Biology Laboratory Technician, or comparable qualification.
Experience
- Knowledge in in vitro propagation and cultivation of plant material
- Practical experience in general laboratory work
- Experience in organizing laboratory processes

Additional
- Part-time (20 hours/week); Fixed-term contract until August 31, 2028.
