Job Summary

As a System Coordinator for the Kiel Public Order Office, you will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems and specialized applications. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include the central administration of approximately 35 complex departmental applications, managing user access, databases, servers, and licenses, and collaborating with software manufacturers. You will also be responsible for testing, installing, and deploying software updates, providing first-level support via phone or remote maintenance, and assisting users with application-specific questions and issues. This role offers a dynamic environment where you will troubleshoot complex problems, potentially engaging second-level support or external partners, and contribute to the efficiency of public services.

Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training of at least three years as an IT Specialist, IT Systems Electronics Technician, Management Assistant for Digitalization Management, or Management Assistant for IT Systems Management; OR completed vocational training of at least three years and at least 5 years of relevant professional experience in system coordination and/or IT technology within the last ten years; OR completed civil service examination for the second entry-level of career group one, General Services; OR completed training as an Administrative Assistant; OR completed Angestelltenlehrgang I.

Experience

  • At least 2 years of relevant professional experience based on the required education and training in system coordination and/or IT technology
  • Alternatively, at least 5 years of relevant professional experience in system coordination and/or IT technology within the last ten years
