Job Summary

As a Senior Bid Manager for Customer Services Rail Infrastructure at Siemens Mobility, you will be responsible for managing diverse customer projects within complex rail automation and electrification bids. This involves creating competitive offers in collaboration with international regional units, leading bid teams (e.g., Engineering, Purchasing, IT), and preparing and conducting PM@Mobility Milestone meetings. You will define and represent bid and execution strategies, ensuring sufficient resources for timely and high-quality bid submissions. The role also requires ensuring process and quality gate compliance, presenting projects to senior management, and contributing to departmental development through active exchange and implementation of productivity and quality goals. Upon winning a bid, you will act as the Project Manager for the core share of the project, making this a dynamic role combining strategic bid management with project execution.

Required Skills

Education

Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a similar technical field

Experience

  • Many years of experience in contract, project, or risk management, preferably in the rail automation and electrification sector
  • Experience in leading international bid teams
  • Experience in service projects
  • Professional experience with project management tools (e.g., ROCCIT, EPIQ, MS Project / Primavera, Polarion, SAP)
  • Demonstrated negotiation skills and communication abilities with customers and interface partners
  • Commercial understanding
