Job Summary
The Berlin Police Department is seeking a Technical Officer for Communication Technology to ensure the availability and functionality of their telecommunication systems. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining various systems (analog, digital, ISDN, VoIP), restoring failed components, and implementing configuration changes. A key part of the job involves advising and informing users, departments, and leadership on all technical aspects of communication technology, as well as developing and integrating new solutions into the existing infrastructure. Required Skills
Education
Completed university degree (Bachelor, Diplom (FH)) in Information Technology, Communication Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable technical field with a focus on data processing technology; OR completed vocational training in Communication Technology, Information Technology, or Electrical Engineering; OR equivalent qualification based on long-term professional experience in the aforementioned technical fields.
Experience
- Professional experience in telecommunication technology (if no degree)
- Experience in maintaining and restoring telecommunication systems
- Experience in advising users and leadership on technical matters
- Experience in developing and implementing communication technology solutions
- Readiness to perform on-call duties
- Ability to independently transport tools, materials, and equipment
